Some visitors note the pricing as slightly on the higher side compared to traditional takeaway options, though many argue the quality justifies it. There are occasional comments about peak times leading to longer wait periods, particularly during Friday nights, when the restaurant reaches full capacity. A few patrons observed that seating could be more spacious on busy weekends. Additionally, while the unique drinks selection is praised, those looking for standard draught lagers and ciders may find the offerings limited.
Lil gem of a place, you can hop across from Aldi before hitting up the beach and it's definitely worth heading over for. Delicious food, killer pancakes, great local vibe. Not too expensive but it's on the higher side. Altogether a definite recommend.
If you live near here, then you are lucky!! Had an amazing home made burger (brisket burger 😋), with dirty fries. Whilst my family had a cheese burger/fries and chicken topped mac and cheese. Everything was cooked to perfection, hot, and amazingly tasty, one of the best burgers I've had in a long while and competitively priced too. The fact they're homemade too is really appealing. The dirty fries with pulled pork were as cheap as a takeaway shack on the seafront which was selling frozen chips with rubbery cheddar on! They would be nowhere near as tasty as these, which were simply amazing. Don't go elsewhere when this place is here! Service was simple, unobtrusive and professional, exactly what I'd expect in a grill/BBQ restaurant. Great selection of craft beers and other drinks as well. With a great atmosphere, assisted by some 90s deep cuts as a soundtrack. Highly recommended 😁
I called here for a cheeky vegetarian breakfast. What a great treat. The breakfast was cooked to perfection and the homemade hash browns were delicious. The Glamorgan sausages were so flavoursome and I loved their cheesy aftertaste. I had a decaf latte that was so nice I didn't even need to add any sugar! I shall return soon :-)
Great place for a stunning burger! The Pig Hunter & Jalapeño Poppers were super tasty! A really great selection of local craft beers as well. The staff were great as we had the side private area & had ordered in advance. All the food came out at a similar time 👌
Absolutely stuffed after visiting here. Decent vibe and the food was incredible. We booked a table and had no problem getting the time we wanted. They don't sell your regular everyday draught lager and cider, it's more craft and IPA, that sort of thing. I was able to test a couple before I decided on my drink for the evening. The lads who served us were friendly and polite, so keep that going boys. Few little boardgames if you have little ones with you, so you can keep them entertained. 5 stars all round for The Greedy Pig, Porthcawl.
Had the brisket burger and the dirty bird fries, brisket burger was absolutely gorgeous and so was the dirty bird fries if very spicy. Party shared the lamb lollipops which was gorgeous sample someone else's tandoori lamb fries and they was sublime. Bar had a few very good craft beer options on tap, and the staff was very informative and let us sample the difference beers before buying. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, and the atmosphere was very laid back and welcoming. I was very impressed, and would highly recommend it to anyone who's wanting a top quality burger and gorgeous fries, the craft ale selection was the cherry on the top, I'll definitely be coming back again, very impressive, only downside is the parking.
Lovely friendly service, made to feel very welcome. Food was delicious and chef was very accommodating letting us have something off the breakfast and main menu. 3 hungry kids satisfied and asked if they could come again - think that’s a sign of approval.
